An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) checks that the fixed wiring in a building is safe. For commercial premises the general recommendation is an inspection at least every five years, or at a change of tenancy, though some environments need testing more often.

Higher-risk or heavily-used environments, industrial sites, commercial kitchens, or premises open to the public, may warrant more frequent inspection. Your previous report will also specify a recommended next-inspection date.

For rented homes in England, landlords must have a satisfactory EICR carried out at least every five years, with a copy provided to tenants and to the local authority on request.

Aldridge Electrical carries out EICRs for commercial and domestic property across the West Midlands, with clear, coded reporting and any remedial work quoted up front.
