FAQs
Common questions
How often is an EICR needed?
Commercial premises are typically inspected every 5 years or at change of occupancy; rented homes in England require a satisfactory EICR at least every 5 years. Your report will state the recommended next date.
What do the codes mean?
C1 = danger present, C2 = potentially dangerous, C3 = improvement recommended, FI = further investigation. We explain each finding in plain English.
Do you carry out the remedial work?
Yes. If remedials are needed we quote them up front and can carry them out and re-issue the certificate.
